DAN’ CHA’, a Belgian guitarist and singer-songwriter, launched his new blues- and rock-oriented band in early 2024. After more than 20 years of experience as a live and studio musician, he now primarily writes and performs his own songs, which are influenced by blues, soul, and rock music. His melodies and lyrics are characterized by simplicity, aiming to be catchy and memorable. Despite this well-crafted simplicity, DAN’ CHA’ places great emphasis on melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic diversity. His thoughtful lyrics address everyday topics as well as social and societal issues. Homages to blues icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and B.B. King are unmistakable in his repertoire. His band, the b.a.d. SLANG, elevates his music to a higher level.
